Quality
Policy
TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company is committed to serving the needs
of our customers BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE by providing products
and services that meet requirements, are delivered on time, and
are priced to provide superior value. This is achieved through
excellence in everything we do. Each task is performed in exact
conformance to requirements, and precise processes and systems
assure error-free performance in every activity of the business.
Our focus is to exceed customer expectations.
The products that we supply to the world's industries are manufactured
in total conformance to customer requirements and to our own meticulous
quality standards. New products that are developed meet or exceed
identified market requirements. However, this Quality Policy is
not limited to the product itself. Technical and administrative
practices also conform exactly with approved procedures. QUALITY
IS THE CORE VALUE OF OUR BUSINESS.
Implementation
The management team of each Staff Department is visibly committed
to and personally involved in the quality improvement process
by establishing quality objectives and periodically reviewing
these objectives for continuing suitability. The management team
assures that requirements are stated clearly and completely, and
that they describe exactly what is needed. They also provide the
necessary training and equipment, establish measurable guidelines,
and define priorities for continual quality improvement.
Quality excellence also depends on personal job performance.
Each employee recognizes the specific product or service that
is being supplied to the next person in the process - the internal
customer - and, every time, strives for exact conformance to that
customer's quality requirements. We will not knowingly settle
for less than exact conformance in anything we do. We will insist
that action be taken to correct system deficiencies which keep
us from meeting these strict performance measures; and we will
eagerly make use of new tools provided for continual quality improvement.
